About the Founder and Author:

Founder and Author of Art Academy for Arabic Calligraphy (AAAC) at Khattatonline.com Dr. Nahidh Hasaniya, was born and raised up in Kuwait and migrated to the USA after the Kuwait Liberation in 1991. He is known as an Expert Calligrapher in the different types of Arabic calligraphy. He is a heart surgeon by profession and artist in calligraphy and other arts. Arabic Calligraphy started as a hobby then became his passion, his life, and his dream.

His passion for calligraphy is revealed in the complex and charming details found in his entire handicrafts and writings. Enthusiasm for his art permeates the hundreds of greeting cards, wedding invitations, and certificates he crafted.

His exceptional talent for creating individualized presentations is distinguished. He has an amazing gift for creating any lettering style, including Kufi, Thuluth, Naskh, Farisi, Diwani, and Rukaa. Though he taught all styles, he has been teaching the Naskh style ( the most popular and used) for over 30 years.

Dedication إهداء

I dedicate this website to two people dear to my heart. First, to my father teacher Waleed HasaniyaGod bless his heart. He had the main effect on me to love Arabic calligraphy and master Khat Alnasekh.

The second is my Uncle pharmacy doctor, Ibrahim Sallouha who helped me learn and master the other styles. I thank them for giving me their calligraphy genes.

اهدي هذا العمل ‏لشخصين كان لهما أكبر الأثر على نفسي في حب وإتقان الخط العربي.

‏الأول هو والدي الاستاذ وليد حسنية رحمه الله الذي كان له أكبر الأثر في تشجيعي وفي إتقان خط النسخ. ‏الثاني هو خالي الدكتور إبراهيم صلوحة الصيدلاني الذي كان له أكبر الأثر في إتقان وتعلم الأنواع الأخرى من الخط العربي.
